14th March ’17: Pink, yellow & black

Tuesday is here, Colour Filers, and I was full of hope for a blast of sunshine today but in London at least it’s a tad on the grey side. Worry not – we can always find brightness elsewhere. Whether it’s in interiors or on clothing, on sunless days, pink and yellow together does it for me 🌸🌼🖤
In today’s Colour File pic, I’ve teamed them with black which, I think, is a striking combination (shelfscape in those colours coming soon…). The mirror and the hands were at The Old Cinema in London W4, a place where I both browse for inspiration and buy (shops like this where pieces have been ‘curated’ are a good place to start with dressing a room, especially for the nervous. Choose one thing you love then build on it).
The delectable pink porcelain teapot is by artists Bob Osborne and Carrie Reichardt friends of mine whose work is both controversial and stunningly beautiful. A Colour File favourite, without a doubt.
And finally, what’s not to love about this uplifting photorealistic Christian Lacroix Cocarde wallpaper featuring ribbons and rosettes? Every one of the six colourways (including this Reglisse) is so delicious I could almost lick it….
Enjoy your day, lovely people 🌸🌼🖤🌈
