18th March 2017: Multicoloured shelfie

Happy Saturday, lovely peopleย โค๏ธ๐ŸฆŠ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ‘•๐Ÿ‘–๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸŽค๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿผ
Thank you for your enthusiasm for my ‘noir’ shelfscapes. Today, I thought I’d give you a simple multicoloured bookshelf to accompany a hopefully leisurely weekend and because, quite frankly, a full spectrum of colour is what gives me ultimate visual pleasure
The thing I love about putting books in colour rather than subject order is the unusual pairings and juxtapositions it can produce, subject-wise (Katie Price’s autobiography cosying up to a book about ‘The State & Poverty in India’ has sparked several conversations in its time). I love the randomness that comes out of a form of visual order. Subject order seems so predictable by comparison!
The other thing I love to do is ‘hide’ colourful objects in front of books, camouflaging them so you have to look twice. Here, the objects are small but when the coloured sections are bigger you can hide all manner of things to trick the eye.
Anyway, have a fabulous Saturday. The Colour File is off to hunt for colour …..
