31st March ’17: Marine art friends

It’s #FollowFriday and I wanted to use this opportunity to introduce you to a merry band of people who have inspired me in the picking-litter-and-turning-it-into-things-of-beauty arena.
They are @smartie_lids_on_the_beach Michelle Costello who I first discovered on @etsyuk and I now own three of her stunning creations. And since I’ve been on Instagram I have also loved to read about the activities and creations of @studiosterk Suzanne vanderHoeven (who makes beautiful faded coloured bracelets from washed ashore fishing nets), @not_in_new_york (beachcomber and collector of colourful plastic, sea glass and sea beans and whose compositions always make me declare ‘Oh WOW!’), and @seastuff_ who creates one-off pieces that are truly imaginative (I totally adore the blue tit bird pic made from marine rubbish – so clever).
So there you are – please follow them. They will truly help to add some environmentally-friendly colour to your world.

PS if there are any inspirational marine litter art people who you think I should know about, please let me know 👍🏻👍🏻
