Happy happy Sunday from the Colour File ☀️🌈🌸
I thought I’d give you a quick glimpse of one of my favourite corners of my house – the one with an upcycled corner cupboard rescued from a car boot sale. When I bought it it was a dull, sorry-for-itself, brown-all-over piece of forgettable furniture. But thanks to a few coats of @farrowandball Teresa’s Green and lining the inside with @cole_and_son_wallpapers Hummingbirds, it has been turned from ugly brown duckling into a pastel-perfect swan. It now houses assorted car-boot finds and @diptyque candles as well as old and beautifully faded books. But the crowning glory, I think, is a ceramic pot by Catalina Montesinos (my inspirational godmother) displaying my year-round ‘seasons’ tree. I’m not one to confine trees and decorations to just once a year when the colours are so exquisite. It’s a really simple way to inject instant colour into your home (twisted willow is perfect for the job).
