11th April ’17: Raspberry love

Happy Tuesday, Colour Filers 🌸🌿🌺🌼
I’ve been rearranging furniture in anticipation of the builders descending on Colour File HQ. In truth I’ve always rather liked shifting things around. When I was a child, I’d get a bee in my bonnet about moving my bed, often in the dead of night. I’d huff and puff and haul it across the room before putting something else in its place. It made me happy to mix things up a bit but as I recall it made my mum a tad confused. She’d come in to wake me in the morning and find herself face-to-face with a chest of drawers instead of a sleeping child. I guess I’ve always liked seeing the permutations of shifting things around, whether it’s cushions, vases or something much bigger. Hence why my second-in-command is sitting next to a basket and some paper decorations propped up on the back of the sofa (he’s used to this randomness now, I think…). No doubt they’ll be replaced with something else in an hour or so (think I’ll keep him, though 💕). At The Colour File, we see the world of colour as one huge opportunity to experiment, and that is something I never tire of. The delicious cake and Art Deco lupins poster are a little raspberry-hued loveliness from yesterday’s visit to @kewgardens while the divine, disordered monogrammed cushions from @marksandspencer are like a gaggle of cute kittens you wish you didn’t have to choose between (though if pressed, I’d have to say that Q was my favourite).
Anyway, must dash – things to rearrange.
