12th April ’17: Colours for health

Good evening, lovely people.
As a health & lifestyle journalist (the colour-crazed librarian’s alter ego), I get to hear about all kinds of new things to boost health and wellbeing. And – joy of joys – many of these things also turn out to be gloriously coloured. As it’s National Stress Awareness Month (yup, us journos love a good ‘Day’ or ‘Week’), and these issues are close to my heart, I thought I’d share a few of my recent favourite wellness discoveries with you. I’m particularly enjoying @theschooloflifelondon‘s beautiful Calm Cards for Serenity (‘The only people we feel are sane are those we don’t yet know very well’. I couldn’t agree more) and @theblurtfoundation‘s cute Buddy Box (a ‘hug in a box’ that you can order for a friend in need – how perfect is that?). My #BuddyBox contains a superhero mask which I shall be making (and wearing) soon. The yellow first aid box contains an NHS-developed skincare range, #MyTrusty, where the profits go straight back into the NHS (what a superb idea – I’ll be putting more info on my blog). And finally, the card is one I’m going to give to a dear friend who is, indeed, all of those things (studies show that friends are one of the very best ways of supercharging your happiness). See you tomorrow.
