18th June ’17: Gerbera pick-me-up

Happy Sunday, one and all ☀️🌸☀️🌺☀️
As it’s going to be a scorcher today, it crossed my mind to give you pale colours to cool you down. But as our marvellous temperate climate means that within weeks we may end up with chilly, jumper weather again, I thought we could all make hay while the sun shines. I spotted this gerbera daisy (bottom left) at a garden centre, leaning towards the sun as they always do. The Celts believed they were a kind of pick-me-up that helped to guard against sadness. They certainly fill me with a warm, fuzzy feeling. Have a tip-top day, don’t forget the factor 50 (sorry, there’s me assuming you’re a Celt, too) and I’ll catch you later.
