16th July ’17: Slow-burn pink passion

Happy Sunday, folks 🌸🌸🌸

I’ve just read a study that shows that by the age of 2.5, girls show a preference for pink and boys tend to avoid it. Isn’t it fascinating that it kicks in so early? Personally, I was something of a late developer on the pink front. My love for it has been a gradual love affair, like knowing someone for a while then slowly realising they’ve got right under your skin and you’re falling fast. It was about 15 years ago that pink grabbed me, shook me by the shoulders and said, ‘Hey, it’s me! Isn’t it time I was more involved in your life?!’ Since then I haven’t looked back: pink was absolutely right. Before that I can only recall one pink memory: on holiday in Portugal aged around four, I wore a pink polka-dot dress to compliment having measles. I’m not sure how it happened (had Mum brought the dress with her or did she buy it once my spots had broken out?) but I love the idea of dressing to match your ailment 😁Anyway, have a tip-top day and I’ll catch you later.
