2nd September '17: Colour clash

Hey, you made it to the weekend. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
A couple of nights ago, my second-in-command and I read one of our favourite colour books together – ‘The Day The Crayons Quit’ by @drewdaywalt @oliverjeffers. Amongst other things, it speaks of the feud between yellow and orange crayon
who both claim they are the colour of the sun and are so polarised in their righteous indignation that they are ‘no longer speaking’, only to discover (in the sequel) they are infinitely melded together when left outside in the blistering daytime heat. I LOVE the idea of colours having personalities, living in contented harmony, or feuding and bickering like Shakespeare doesn’t even know the half of it, indignantly staking their spectral claim. Someone once said of colour, ‘Some people think colour is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it’s much more serious than that.’ Oh, hang on. I think they may have said it about football. They were, of course, wrong. Colour is what it’s all about. What colours are adversaries as far as you’re concerned? And what do they say about each other (don’t spare the horses)? Have an amazing day, and a colour-filled one, at the very least.
