1st October '17: Collaborative yellow

Happy Sunday, dear friends ☀️🐥🌟⭐️🍋🍯
When I started The Colour File, it began as something of a joyful yet lone pursuit. I’d snap colourful things alone, create montages on my own and do my shelfies without input from anyone else (apart from moments of colour clarity from my second-in-command). But as time’s gone by it’s become less solitary and much more social – meeting wonderful new people but also connecting with friends of many years who, it transpires, are crazy about colour, too. Old friends and new are responsible for today’s shelfie: @zoeellinson got the ball rolling when she brought me these sunny flowers from her garden on Friday, then my friend Kathryn @style_me_fifty saw them plus two yellow books I’m reading for @psychologiesmagazine and suggested a yellow shelfie theme. Finally, last night, unaware of my shelfie plan, my inspirational friend Jules @wildlifetraveladventure emailed me a link to a story about the #ColorInFaithproject in Kenya which aims to unite different religions by encouraging them to paint their places of worship yellow, whether it’s a mosque or a church (Google it: what a great project). So although I arranged the items on the shelf, I very much feel that it was a collaboration. I’m happy to say that colour has once again blown my world right open and filled it with people, purpose and pleasure. Have a tip-top, colour-filled day, folks.
